R.C. (Randel) Tucker

R. C. (Randel)Tucker, son of the late W. E. Tucker and Estalee Romaines Tucker, was born on May 8, 1924, in Geronimo, Oklahoma. He departed this life on July 14, 2012, in the Cypress Point Care Center in Dexter, Missouri

He worked at Elder Manufacturing Company for many years before leaving to establish his own business of custom machine-hay baling. He baled hay for farmers throughout the Stoddard County area for many years. R.C. was an avid fisherman, camper and bluegrass/gospel festival enthusiast. Mr. Tucker faithfully attended the New Bethel Gerenal Baptist Church for 56 years.

He was married to Mildred Duckworth, in Puxico Missouri, on November 25,1942, and to this union two daughters were born.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, two daughters and spouses - Brenda (James)Williamson of Bloomfield, Missouri, Thelma (Jimmy) Thompson of Dexter, Missouri, one daughter-in-law Rosemary Frailey Phillips of Union, Missouri, one brother, Alvie George Tucker of Alton, Illinios, one sister-in-law, Jane Tucker, of Bloomfield, Missouri. Five grandchildren: and spouses, Crystal Frailey of St. Joseph, Michigan, Sherrie (Will) Kent of Union Missouri, Daron (Tonya) Williamson, of Bloomfield, Missouri, Cleveland (Angela) Williamson of Nixa Missouri, Brian Thompson of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, Seven great-grandchildren: Kyle Williamson of Bloomfield Missouri, Nathan (Jaki) Welker, of Camp Pendleton, San Diego, California, McKenzie Welker, Union Missouri, Austin Williamson of Bloomfield, Missouri, Haylee Henson of Union Missouri, Rhett James Williamson of Nixa, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Hayward Frailey, one son-in-law, James Williamson, two brothers, J.D. Tucker and Wayne Tucker.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri, with Rev. Dean Williams of Dexter Missouri.
Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

John H. Flanigan, son of the late John and Inez Hare Flanigan, was born in Morehouse, Missouri on January 13, 1945, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, on July 13, 2012, at the age of 67 years and 6 months.

He had lived in Essex most of his life until moving to Dexter in 2006.  He had worked in the sanitation department for the City of Essex.

Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Jessie and Billy Eaton of Dexter, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012, after 12:30 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Jesse Lacey of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

A private graveside service and interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Sophia E. Deason, daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Elizabeth Jarrell Masterson, was born near Dexter, Missouri, on March 29, 1917, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on July 11, 2012, at the age of 95 years, 3 months, and 12 days.

Mrs. Deason had lived in Dexter, Missouri all of her life. She had attended the New Bethel General Baptist Church in Dexter and had worked for over 30 years at the Elders Manufacturing Company.

On July 3, 1937, she was married to Frank Leslie Deason in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1976.

Surviving are one grandson and wife, Michael & Zina Mitchell of Dexter, Missouri; one granddaughter, Sharon Darby of Dexter, Missouri; four great grandchildren, Shaun Phillips & Christopher Phillips both of Bloomfield, Missouri, Tiffany Mitchell & Brandon Mitchell both of Dexter, Missouri; four great great grandchildren; one sister and husband, Mary & Tom Fairchild of Dexter, Missouri; one sister in law and husband, Carolyn & William Tucker of Dexter, Missouri. Many nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Elizabeth Mitchell on January 7, 2007, son in law, C. W. Mitchell, three brothers, James, Louis and Adam Masterson; and four sisters, Nancy & Melissa Masterson, Mae Ridenour and Ella Casey.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012, at 11:00 am at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dean Williams of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Sadlers Chapel Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 9, 2012, after 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Don Cox of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Arthur J. "A.J." Miller, son of the late Sereno W. and Catherine Halter Miller, was born in New Hamburg, Missouri on February 29, 1928, and passed away at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau on July 5, 2012, at the age of 84 years.

He had grown up in Chaffee, and had lived in California, Washington State and Chicago, Illinois before moving to Bloomfield, 12 years ago. He had worked as an electrical technician with Motorola. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter. He enjoyed racing remote control boats, fishing and model trains. He served in the U. S. Army, serving in Italy after WWII and in Korea.

In October of 1970, he was married to Helen Fox in Chicago, Illinois. She preceded him in death on February 22, 2010.

Surviving are two stepsons, Michael Lee Hasler of San Antonio, Texas, Kenneth Lynn Hasler of Oswego, Illinois; one stepdaughter, Linda Handel of Hendersonville, North Carolina; four step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; one brother, James Miller of Seattle, Washington; one sister, Betty Enderle of Kelso, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Leon W. Miller.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. A Rosary Service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, with the Rev. David Dohogne of Dexter, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
