Doyal Leo Duffie was born on April 6, 1923 in Dexter and died on September 27, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Dexter at the age of 88.

Mr. Duffie was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, a Veteran of the United States Army serving in WW2 and a resident of Dexter.

On October 4, 1947 he was united in marriage to Jackie Louise Jenkins in Dexter. Mrs. Duffie preceded him in death on April 27, 1993.

He is survived by one son, Jackie Leo Duffie of Dexter; by one daughter, Stephanie Lynn Dailey of Cape Girardeau; by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by thirteen brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, September 30, 2011 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 3 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
