Harold “Gene” Treadway Sr

Gene Treadway Sr., son of the late Homer Treadway and Violet R. Long Treadway was born on September 10, 1933 in rural Bernie, Missouri and passed away on April 14, 2011 at his residence in Puxico, Missouri at the age of 77 years.

Mr. Treadway was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church in Dexter, retired from General Motors in St. Louis, Missouri, and a veteran of the United States Navy.

On April 14, 1991 he was united in marriage to Virginia Gates in Puxico, Missouri. Mrs. Treadway survives of the home in Puxico.

Besides his wife, survivors include one son, Darrin Treadway of Van Buren, Missouri; one daughter, Darlene Malone of Valley Park, Missouri; two step-daughters, Sharon Garrison of Springfield, Missouri and Dawn Sager of Thornton, Colorado; by two brothers, Bill Treadway of Chaffee, Missouri and Wayne Treadway of Texas; by four sisters, Jo Stinson of Wappapello, Missouri, Mae Pope of Essex, Missouri, Faye Fortune of New Burg, Indiana, and Norma Nash of Marshfield, Missouri; also by thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchilren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Harold Eugene Treadway Jr., by one daughter, LaDena Treadway, also by one grandson, Terry Treadway.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5:30 - 8 p.m., Monday April 18, 2011. Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Elder Jeral Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter.

Lloyd A. Dozier, son of the late Robert A. and Gail Elizabeth Anderson Dozier, was born in Vesterburg, Pennsylvania on July 2, 1931, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Malden, Missouri on April 14, 2011, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 12 days.

He had lived in Salina, Kansas; Coumbus, Ohio; and Little Rock, Arkansas where he retired from the military. He had lived in Parma, Missouri since 1996. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force. He served as a Security and Military Police Officer and had served in Vietman. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

On September 4, 1958, he was married to Edith Marie Bell in Wichita, Kansas.

Surviving are his wife, Edith Marie Dozier of Parma, Missouri; one brother, Lonnie Dozier of Columbus, Ohio; four sisters, Lucy Manganiello of Brick, New Jersey, Norma Church of London, Ohio, Donna Goodyear of Coumbus, Ohio, and Juanita Feucht of Amanda, Ohio. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Dozier and one brother, Glen Dozier.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 17, 2011, from 5 - 8 to 8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri with the Rev. Roy Sherfield of Dexter, MO will officiating.

Glenda Ruth Allison-Caulfield 63 passed away at her home on Sunday April 3, 2011. Glenda was born June 3, 1947 in Stoddard County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Miles Allison and Maude May Fox-Allison.

She attended school in Wappapello and Puxico, Missouri. She worked at Teen Town and Bill’s Market in Puxico after returning to the area from St. Louis, MO.

She was previously married to Joseph Caulfield who resides in St. Louis, MO. She leaves one son: Joseph Leroy Caulfield of Puxico, MO and three grandchildren: Iann Caulfield, Miles Caulfield and Tiffany Santiny of Louisiana. She also leaves one special daughter: Jeanie Fox Statton of Neoga, IL. She leaves two brothers: Billiy Allison of Puxico, MO and Bobby Allison of Decatur, IL and one sister: Opal Allen of Bloomfield, MO. She also leaves a half-sister: Charlotte (Lee) Godat of De Soto, MO. She leaves her special friend: James Davis of Puxico, MO and many nieces and nephews.

Glenda was a member of the Eagles. She tried always to be there for her family and enjoyed family get-togethers and for friends to drop by. She was met in Heaven by her parents, two sisters, three brothers, and five half-brothers.

A delayed service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 28th at 11 a.m. at her home in Puxico, MO with burial on May 29th in the Wappapello Cemetery. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at 1096 County Road 406, Puxico, Missouri 63960.

There will be a memorial service at the Wappapello Eagles to be held on April 23, 2011 at 11 a.m.

Loretta Duba, daughter of the late Samuel T. and Frona Cagle Ward, was born in South Hill, Virginia on January 7, 1934, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 11, 2011, at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 4 days.

She had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri all of her life. She had worked at Elder’s Manufacturing. On November 13, 1953, she was married to Clyde Duba in Knoxville, Tennessee. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2000.

Surving are two daughters, Alice McWilliams of Jackson, Missouri, Ann Loper of Bellbrook, Ohio; one son, Arthur M. Duba of Bloomfield, Missouri; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one grandson and three brothers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011, after 12 p.m., at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Graveside funeral services will be on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at 1 p.m., in the Elliott Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Bro. Kenneth Gaines of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Elliot Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri.

Vivian Marie Pate, daughter of the late Martin and Ester Herrington Wilfong, was born in Puxico, Missouri on March 19, 1933, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing & Rehab Center in Puxico, Missouri on April 10, 2011, at the age of 78 years and 22 days.

She had lived in the Cottage Hills and Dupo, Ill., for almost 50 years and returned to Puxico 20 years ago. She was an active member of the First General Baptist Church in Puxico, Mo. She, along with her late husband, Oscar, organized God's Willing Workers in March of 1994, a group of senior citizens that meet monthly and helps financially with various community needs. She loved being outdoors and helping others.

On July 5, 1949, she was married to Sylvester "Pete" Ragsdale. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1974. On September 23, 1974, she was married to Oscar Riley Pate in Dupo, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2008.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Ray Ragsdale of Branson, Missouri, Ronnie Paul Ragsdale of Willis, Texas; five grandchildren; one great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald and Gary Wilfong both of Puxico, Missouri; two sisters, Bertha Gates of Dexter, Missouri and Reva Cantrell of Puxico, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lester, Therman, Eugene, Claude and David Wilfong.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011, after 10 a.m., at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico with the Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
