Bloomfield, Missouri – A benefit bake sale will be held at the Town and Country Market on Highway 25 in Bloomfield tomorrow, Wednesday, July 3rd.
This fundraiser is to help a local couple, C.G. and Ann Edwards, who were both injured in a car accident on May 4th (the night of their granddaughter’s prom at Dexter). They were traveling home on highway 60 when they were rear-ended by an uninsured driver who fled the scene. He was later arrested.
The couple received numerous injuries. C.G. was taken to a hospital in Cape Girardeau. Ann first went to a Cape hospital, but was later flown by plane to St. Louis. Both are still receiving medical care.
Mary thorn, Activities Coordinator along with the Summit Chapter 18068 The Modern Woodmen of America is hosting the event. It begins at 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funds collected up to $1,500 will be matched by the Modern Woodmen of America.
