U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will be the speaker today at the weekly meeting of the Dexter Kiwanis Club on Monday.

“Organizations like the Dexter Kiwanis really lead our rural communities in service.  With so much that affects us going on in the nation’s capital, I am grateful for the opportunity to address so many leaders about the future of our nation and Southern Missouri,” Emerson said.  “All of the tough decisions being made by families in Southern Missouri have to be recognized and respected by our representatives in Washington.  The best ideas about how to move our country forward won’t come from DC, they will come from places like Dexter.”

Emerson will speak at noon today at the organization’s meeting at the American Steak House on West Business 60.
