Game #2 of the 2022 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament was a matchup between the #8 seeded Puxico Indians and the #9 seeded East Prairie Eagles. This was the first upset of the tournament with the Eagles defeating the Indians 62 - 48.
East Prairie stayed aggressive throughout the game defensively shutting down the Indians offense.
Wyatt Williams, #21, a 6'0" senior guard recorded a game-high 21 points on 8 buckets, 1 trey and was 2/3 at the line.
Noah Johnson #11 also hit double digits scoring 16 points on 7 baskets and was 2/4 at the line.
Rafe Byassee, a senior guard, finished with 10 points. He hit two buckets and two 3-pointers.
Puxico's Duncan Crabb, a 6'0" senior, collected the team-high 14 points. He was 6/7 from the charity stripe and added two buckets.

East Prairie will play Dexter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28th.
Puxico will play Gideon on Wednesday, December 28th at 11:30 a.m.
Bloomfield Schools will host the 2022 Stoddard County Athletic Association (SCAA) 7th Grade Boys Basketball Tournament.
Puxico earned the #1 seed and will have a bye during the first round.
Woodland received the #2 seed followed by #3 Bloomfield, #4 Bernie, #5 Bell City, and #6 Advance,
Woodland has also received a bye. Dexter will not be participating in the SCAA Tournament.
Bernie will play Bell City at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1st.
Bloomfield will play Advance at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1st.
Semifinal games to be determined at this time.
3rd place game will be November 4th at 4:00 p.m.
Championship will be November 4th at 6:30 p.m.

Bloomfield Wildcats Baseball camp was held this summer and it was a huge success.
"What a great week of camp and thank you to all of our campers for coming out," commented new head baseball coach Chris Smith. "Thank you to the parents as well for getting them there."
"Not only did we get to learn more about baseball, the game we love, we were able to build relationships with all of our future Wildcats!"
The high school Wildcats baseball team came out and helped the youngsters as well. "We couldn't have done it without you!" continued Smith.
The t-shirts have been ordered and once the shirts are in the campers will be able to pick up at the central office with mrs. Sarah Upchurch.
The future is bright for the baseball Wildcats!

The Bloomfield Basketball Youth Camp will be for boys and girls going into 1st - 8th grades. You do not have to be in the Bloomfield School District to attend.
Coach Keith along with Assistant Coaches and players will be present to instruct and teach athletes.
The cost of the camp is $40 if you register now. It will be $50 the day of the camp. If the cost of the camp is an issue please contact Coach Keith by email at kkeith@bps14.org.

Dates of the camp are July 19th - July 21st (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Grades 1st - 4th are from 8:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Grades 5th - 8th are from 10:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Campers will work on the basic fundamentals of basketball including passing, dribbling, shooting, and teamwork. They will be involved in competitive games along with daily contests. Each camper will receive a Wildcat t-shirt.
