
The 2019 Class 2 District 1 Spring Season Baseball Tournament seeds have been released. The Portageville Bulldogs received the #1 seed and have earned a bye in the first round. Bernie earned the #2 seed and also have a bye in the first round.
Seeds are #1 Portageville (15-1), #2 Bernie (13-5), #3 Campbell (11-5), #4 Senath-Hornersville (9-9), #5 South Pemiscot (6-10), and #6 Holcomb (6-8).
On Saturday, May 11th #4 Senath-Hornersville will face #5 South Pemiscot at Bernie High School at Noon.
On Saturday, May 11th #3 Campbell will face #6 Holcomb at 2 p.m. also at Bernie High School.
Portageville will compete against the winner of the Senath/South Pem game at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 13th.
Bernie will compete against the winner of the Campbell/Holcomb game at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 13th.
The District Championship is slated for Tuesday, May 14th at 4:30 p.m. at Bernie High School.

The 2019 SCAA (Stoddard County Athletic Association) All-Conference Softball Team has been named.

The Bernie Lady Mules earned the #1 seed and will play the #8 seed Richland Lady Rebels on Monday, A[ril 29th at noon at Bernie.
All games will be played at Bernie High School softball field.
Seeds are #1 Bernie, #2 Oran, #3 Bloomfield, #4 Dexter, #5 Scott County Central, #6 Charleston, #7 Puxico, and #8 Richland.
Oran Lady Eagles received the #2 seed and will play #7 Puxico at 3 p.m.
Bloomfield Lady Wildcats received the #3 seed and will play #6 Charleston at 4:30 p.m.
Semifinals will be at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30th and the Championship game will be Wednesday, May 1st at 4:30 p.m.

Scott City, Missouri - The Bernie Mules softball team defeated top-ranked Scott City Rams on Monday, April 8, 2019 10-9. The Rams were previously undefeated prior to the Mules coming to town.
Alyson Marcum got things moving in the first inning, when she homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
The Lady Mules scored two runs in the first inning and six runs in the second inning to jump out to an 8-0 lead over the Rams. Scott City came back and scored three in the third and two in the forth to cut the lead to 8-5, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
Cassidy Freed was credited with the win, allowing nine runs, on eight hits with six strikeouts and seven walks in 6 2/3 innings.
Haley Schrum was charged with the loss, giving up 10 runs on nine hits with five strikeouts and five walks in seven innings.
Bernie improved to 15-2 on the season.
Marcum went 1 for 1 with a home run, two RBIs and four walks. Anna Eaton went 2 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs. Daisy Eaton went 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs. Anthony went 2 for 5 with one RBI. Logan Mayberry doubled in four at-bats, and Freed had two RBIs.
