Dexter, Missouri – The Dexter High School will host their very first DHS Book Fair beginning Monday, November 10th and ending on Friday, November 14th. Their mission to get 300+ books into the hands of readers, young and old!
“We will roll out the red carpet this week in honor of the new movie Mockingjay, which will be released to theatres on November 21st,” stated DHS Library Media Specialist Krystal Hobgood.
Mockingjay is the latest book made into film from the The Hunger Games series. It is the first of two cinematic parts based on the novel and the final book in the Hunger Games trilogy written by Suzanne Collins.
“This is the first event of its kind and I have been blown away by how amazing our community has been in supporting this,” Hobgood continued. “We have so many prizes to give away to the students and I know they will be thrilled. I owe that all to the support of our community.”
Everyone is invited to join the students for a festive time as they celebrate the wonderful world of reading. It will be open to the public from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
