Banken Family Honored at Charles Bland Stadium

On Friday, October 14, 2022, during halftime of the Dexter vs Park Hills Central football game, Hickory Log owners were recognized with a plaque.

Hickory Log has been a staple in Dexter since 1953.

The Banken family and Hickory Log have been supporting Dexter Public Schools for many years.

The Banken family has been very generous; providing food at halftime for our press box staff and officials.

We can't thank them enough for their generosity toward our school and for their loyalty to the Dexter Community.

Just last month, the Southeast Regional Athletic Director’s Association selected a winner for their annual Distinguished Service Award.  Each year, area athletic directors nominate individuals or groups that have pledged lifelong support to high school athletics.  The recipient is then voted on by all area directors south of St. Louis.  This year’s winner was Hickory Log and the Banken family.

Thank you to John and Leveda and the entire Hickory Log Family.  We wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.
