The board held its regular November meeting last night. During open session, the Middle School House Leaders gave an awesome presentation to the board over the House System.
The board took the following actions during open session:
1. Tabled the District Audit Report due to a scheduling conflict
2. Approved the bid of Beussink, Hey, Roe & Stroder, LLC as the district auditor for the 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25 school years
3. Approved board policies BDDF; BDDL; DB; DJF; DJFA; GBLB; IF; IGAD; IGCE; JFGA; JGA-1; JHC; JHDF; JHG
4. Approved the rescinding board policy DBB

6. Approved the Dates of the Board Candidate filing of December 6-December 27, 2022.
During executive session the board approved the substitution list and hired the 2023-2024 elementary principal.
The board hired Mrs. Jennifer Bolin as the 2023-2024 elementary principal. Mrs. Bolin is in her 16th year of teaching elementary and middle school classes as a 5th grade teacher and math teacher in the Dexter School System for most of those years. Mrs. Bolin has also served as an administrative intern for Dexter Schools as well as middle school volleyball coach.

The Bloomfield Board of Education met last night for the regular October meeting.
Wyatt Hendley, Bloomfield High School Student Body President, attended the meeting and gave a presentation over what our high school student council is doing this fall. Wyatt did a fantastic job!
In open session, the board approved the following:
1. Approved the solicitation of district auditor bids
2. Approved the resolution on membership in the Success Ready Students Network
The board also discussed a possible grant that could help with the cost of the ag shop extension/remodel. The board also discussed getting the parking lot on the old factory lot completed prior to the elementary Christmas program.
The principals presented their building reports.
Superintendent Toni Hill presented the District's September Membership numbers. This is the enrollment for the District on the last Wednesday of September.
