Mary Ellen Barnett, the daughter of the late John Walker and Mae James Walker, was born on March 27, 1947.

On June 4, 1970, in Houston, TX, she was united in marriage to Clettuis Wayne Barnett. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2002.

She was a member of the Church of Christ Church in Bernie, MO.

Mrs. Barnett died April 16, 2022, in Malden, MO at the age 75 years.

Survivors include 1 son, John Barnett of Poplar Bluff, MO; 1 sister, Goldie Kirkpatrick of Corinth, MS; 1 brother, James Eugene Walker of Kennett, MO; 1 granddaughter, Hannah Barnett and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, Douglas Wayne Barnett; 1 grandson, Tyler Barnett; 1 brother, Bill Walker; 2 sisters, Lucille Jackson and Dolly Ford.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Church of Christ Church of Bernie, with Mr. Stan Dauck officiating.
