Sandra K. Harty, daughter of Geneva Underwood Grim of Dexter and the late Floyd E. Grim was born April 30, 1949 in Bloomfield, Missouri and departed this life at her residence in Dexter on June 8, 2017 at the age of 68.
Mrs. Harty was the former Executive Director of the Stoddard County Transit Authority and the Dexter Housing Authority. She was of the Baptist faith and a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Danny Harty on May 26, 1972 in Dexter. Mr. Harty resides of the home in Dexter.
Besides her husband and mother, survivors include two daughters, Tammy K. Harris and husband Chris of Dexter and Dana Tellman of Dexter; also by five grandchildren, Nicholas Harris, Gerica Harris, Kyle Tellman, Kolten Tellman and Blake Woodruff.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by twin daughters, Ginelle Mitchell and Michelle Mitchell.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday June 9, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Services will be conducted on Saturday June 10, 2017 at 1:00 P. M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Tippen officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
Jack Madison Litzelfelner, 88, of Jackson died Monday, June 5, 2017, at his home.
He was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Elvins, Missouri, to Odus C. and Ethel Masterson Litzelfelner. Jack married Judy Thompson of Jackson in 1953.
He attended Jackson High School, where his love of baseball began. He was the catcher on the JHS baseball team.

Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea. Jack proudly played baseball for the U.S. Army baseball team, and was later drafted to be the catcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Jack had a long history of service and dedication to the Jackson community. He and his brothers started Litz Bros. Poultry Co. in Jackson, which ran until 1974. After the closing of the poultry company, Jack stayed busy developing property along Ridge Road in Jackson, and in 1990, opened Bent Creek Golf Course and Development Co. with his sons.
Jack has served as the president of the Jackson School Board and the president of the chamber of commerce. He was a member of Excelsior Lodge 441 AF&AM of Jackson, Scottish Rite of St. Louis and a member of Altenthal-Joerns Post 158 American Legion of Jackson. Jack was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Jack (Felicia) Litzelfelner Jr., Mike (Carrie) Litzelfelner and Rob (Michele) Litzelfelner, all of Jackson; daughters, Pat Litzelfelner of Richmond, Kentucky, and Deb Litzelfelner of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Joe, Jim and Odus Jr.; and sisters, Ladonna, Kathleen, O'Dean, Margaret, Rosemary, Phyllis and Barbara.
A celebration of Jack's life will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Jackson Civic Center.
Memorial contributions may be given to Jackson Youth Baseball.

Berneice Schuerenberg, 93, of Sikeston, Mo., passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Schuerenberg, the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Zofe Chaney, was born April 5, 1924 in Sikeston.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dexter, and had retired after many years as a bookkeeper with the John Deere Dealership in Sikeston. Mrs. Schuerenberg enjoyed spending time with her family, her church, flower gardening and bird watching.
On Dec. 31, 1944, she married the love of her life, Paul Mitchell Schuerenberg in Sikeston. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2012.
Survivors include two children, Paul M. Schuerenberg, Jr. and his wife Denise of Poplar Bluff and Mary Elizabeth Vandiver of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Stephanie Flippin, Christopher Vandiver, Matt Schuerenberg and Chase Collom; and two great-grandchildren.
A sister and a brother also preceded Mrs. Schuerenberg in death.
A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with a graveside service following at 1 p.m. at the Garden of Memories in Sikeston. The Rev. Tom Bass will officiate.

William Wesley Thompson, of Dexter, the son of the late John D. and Nora Thompson, was born in Hughes, Arkansas on September 12, 1927, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on June 7, 2017, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 26 days.
Mr. Thompson had lived in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee before moving to Southeast Missouri. He had lived in the Dexter and Malden areas for more than 60 years. William was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during WW ll. He also loved music, gardening, fishing and remote controlled air planes.
On December 21, 1947, he married Lillie Marie Allen in Etowah, Arkansas.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Thompson of Dexter; one son & wife, Robert & Barbara Thompson of Collinsville Mississippi; three daughters & husbands, Lena McElrath, Shirley & Phillip Huett, Judy & Paul Fitzpatrick all of Dexter; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Sue Thompson and one brother, Robert James Thompson.
Friends may visit on Friday, June 9, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with interment to follow.

Marietta Casey, daughter of the late Harold Casey and Ellen Ovistt Casey was born on May 18, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life in the Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center in Puxico, Missouri on June 2, 2017.
Ms. Casey was a home-maker and was a resident of Dexter.
Survivors include two sons, John Roger Goodale Jr. and wife Patricia Ann of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Harold Eugene Goodale and wife Carol of Puxico, Missouri; by two daughters, Brenda Strickland of Bloomfield, Missouri and Linda Beaird and husband Rick of Kennett, Missouri; by two brothers, James Casey of Ellsinore, Missouri and Thomas Casey of Naylor, Missouri; by one sister, Anita Leanna of Wilton California; also by seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Serina Goodale and by two brothers, David Casey and Harold Casey.
