In 1944 he married the love of his life, Jacqueline Jones. He enlisted in the Army air Corps becoming a pilot and later a test pilot. Upon returning from World War II, he and Jackie raised their family on the farm in Dexter, Missouri.
Later he became an Agri-Executive with MFA. Through his devotion to God and community, Bob served as lay minister and later as an elder and a member of the Missouri Synod in the Presbyterian Church.
Upon retiring to Lake Wappapello, he and Jackie join the united Methodist church, founding the churches food pantry supporting those in need.
Born of love of family, he was taking home through perfect love on June 15, 2015.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Brown and sister, Vivian Adkins.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry Brown and wife Beverly of Dexter; his daughter Barbara Lynn Lettington and her husband Harold of Wappapello; cousins, Jim Adkins and wife Geri and Judy Gregory; and grandchildren, Amy Elise Tanner and husband John of Memphis, Tennessee, and Brady Devlin Tanner and wife Alyssa of Memphis, Tennessee.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the food pantry at the united Methodist Church in Wappapello, Missouri.
Visitation will begin Friday at The Morgan Sifford funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM and the funeral service will follow at 11 AM.
Officiating the service will be Reverend Catherine Bryant. Interment will be in the Smith Stevenson Cemetery near Pyletown, Missouri.
Elzora Robey, daughter of the late John Davenport and Mamie Ellis Davenport, was born on July 18, 1926 in Bertrand, Missouri and departed this life on January 24, 2015 at North Village Park Care Center in Moberly, Missouri at the age of 88.
Mrs. Robey had worked in nursing and was a former resident of Dexter.
On September 11, 1944, she was united in marriage to Tom Robey in Corning, Arkansas. Mr. Robey preceded her in death on February 4, 2000.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Robey and wife Martha of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by one daughter, Alma Wilson and husband Earl of Cairo, Missouri; by four granddaughters, Kim Scott, Michelle Eads, Celeste Weast and Scottie Fox; by three grandsons, Matthew Eads, Max Schiltz and Jesse Schiltz; by eighteen great-grandchildren; by one great-great-grandson; and by one brother-in-law, Bill Robey and wife Janette of St. Louis.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Lou Ella and Leslie Schisler; by two brothers, G. W. Davenport and James Davenport; by twelve sisters, Beatrice Moody, Louise Strickland, Lorene Stancil, Edna Berry, Pauline Davenport, Alla Mae Davenport, Roxie Beyerbach, Nora Lou Taylor, Dorothy Russell, Jo Alma Comstock, Mary Lucille Davenport and Melba Jean Davenport; and by two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Walker Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Sarah Lynne Hillis, daughter of the late Harlan B. Heffelfinger and Audrey Mae Ellwood Heffelfinger, was born on June 24, 1939 in Beatrice, Nebraska and departed this life on June 4, 2015 at her residence in Essex at the age of 75.
Mrs. Hillis was a member of the United Methodist Church in Essex and she worked as the Postmaster for the U.S. Post Office in Essex
On January 26, 1958, she was united in marriage to Danny S. Hillis in Austin, Texas. Mr. Hillis survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Harlan Gregory Hillis and David Scott Hillis, both of Essex; by one brother, Harlan Michael Heffelfinger and his wife Jackie of Thaxton, Virginia; by one sister, Virginia Ann Heffelfinger of Springfield, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Miranda Banken, Halona Link, Liz Strickland, Mallory Hillis and McKenzie Hillis; and by seven great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Link, Ainsley Strickland, Lux Strickland, Kingston Banken, Farah Banken, Morgan Strickland and Kashlyn Kelley.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Essex Cemetery with Rev. Roy Sherfield officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
On August 12, 1976, in Matthews, he married Ginger Walls, who survives of the home.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Rev. Maria Thumma of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Matthews Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Pete Vent, Carlos Mallory, Scott McWaters, Richard Whiffen, Russell McWaters and Kelly Nelson.

Sandra had lived in Dexter until 1967 when she moved to Arnold. She had worked at the Good Samaritan Retirement Home until she retired. She enjoyed collecting Hummel figurines.
On July 22, 1967 she was married to Dennis Quick in Dexter.
Surviving are her husband, Dennis Quick of Arnold; two daughters, Debra & Denise; and four grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Dexter Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter officiating.
