2024 SCAA Varsity Volleyball Conference Tournament Seeds Announced

The 2024 SCAA Varsity Volleyball Conference Tournament seeds have been released.  Games begin on Monday, October 14th at Woodland High School.

Dexter varsity earned the No. 1 seed followed by #2 Advance, #3 Woodland, #4 Bernie, #5 Bell City, #6 Bloomfield, #7 Puxico, and #8 Richland.

Dexter will play Richland at 4 p.m. on Monday, October 14th

Bernie will play Bell City at 5:30 p.m.  Woodland will play Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m.  Advance will play Puxico at 8:30 p.m.

This is a double elimination tournament for varsity.

Semifinals will be on Wednesday, October 16th at 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, October 17th at 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Consolation game will be Thursday, October 17th at 4 p.m.

3rd place game is Friday, October 5:30 p.m. and the Championship will be at 8:30 p.m.

Reminder that all matches will start immediately following the conclusion of the previous match.  Please be prepared to start early than times posted.

2024 SCAA JV Volleyball Conference Tournament Seeds Announced

The 2024 SCAA JV Volleyball Conference Tournament begins on Monday, October 14th at Woodland High School.

Dexter JV volleyball team earned the No. 1 spot followed by #2 Bernie, #3 Advance, #4 Woodland, #5 Bloomfield, #6 Bell City and #7 Puxico.

The Dexter Lady JV Cats also received a bye in round one and will play the winner of the Woodland vs Bloomfield game on Wednesday October 16th at 7:00 p.m.

Bernie JV will play Puxico JV at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th

Woodland JV will play Bloomfield JV a 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th.

Advance JV will play Bell City JV at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th.

Semi-final games will be on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

3rd place game will be played on Friday, October 18th at 4 p.m.

Championship game will be Friday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m.

As a reminder all matches will start immediately following the conclusion of the previous match.  Please be prepared to start earlier than scheduled times.

Missouri Media High School Football Rankings, Dexter Secures #3 Spot

The Dexter Bearcats have secured their No. 3 spot in the Class 3 high school football rankings by the Missouri Media Group.  They defeated a ranked Southern Boone 24-21 on Saturday.  Southern Boone dropped to ninth place after losing two weeks in a row.  Only one left on the Bearcats schedule that is ranked is Park Hills who came in No. 7 in Week #5.

The 'Cats take on Kelly on Friday night in Benton and then also travel next week to Kennett before returning to Charles Bland Stadium on the 18th of October and face the Rebels of Park Hills.

2024 SEMO Conference Volleyball Tournament, Dexter Lady Cats Earn #2 Seed

The SEMO Conference Volleyball Tournament seeds have been announced.  Jackson Indians have earned the #1 seed for the tournament.

Seeds are as follows: #1 Jackson, #2 Dexter, #3 Cape Central, #4 Notre Dame, #5 Saxony Lutheran, #6 Poplar Bluff, #7 Scott City, #8 Kennett, #9 New Madrid County Central, #10 Sikeston, #11 Oran, and #12 Charleston.

Games begin on October 3rd.  There are six courts at the SportsPlex that games will be played on.

Game 1 on Court #2 3 p.m. Kennett vs NMCC

Game 2 on Court #1 3 p.m. Saxony vs Charleston

Game 3 on Court #3 3 p.m. Scott City vs Sikeston

Game 4 on court #4 3 p.m. Poplar Bluff vs Oran

Game 5 on court #2 3:45 p.m. Jackson vs Kennett/NMCC

Game 6 on court #1 3:45 p.m. Notre Dame vs Saxony/Charleston

After a big win over the East Prairie Eagles on Friday night winning 36-0, the undefeated, that's right the undefeated Dexter Bearcats earned enough votes to move them up to #3 in the MSHSAA's Class 3 according to the a 9-member panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
