2019 DHS Fall Activities Senior Night Featuring Grace Milam

Dexter, Missouri - The DHS Fall Activities Senior Night was held at Charles Bland Stadium on Friday, October 25, 2019 prior to the start of the Malden vs Dexter football game.

Grace Milam is the daughter of Emily and Brad Milam.

She is a member of the DHS Cross Country Team.

Her future plans are to attend ​a 4 year college and pursue a career in occupational therapy.

Her most memorable moment was ​singing together on the bus rides to meets​.

Registration Set for Dexter Elks Wrestling

Dexter, Missouri - While high school wrestling is beginning to heat up, elementary students can also have a chance to practice their wrestling skills. Registration is from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5th and Tuesday, November 12th. 

Each year the Elks Lodge sponsors grades Kindergarten - 6th boys and girls wrestling and any child in those grades in Stoddard County are encouraged to participate.  

Payment is required at time of registration.  The cost to participate is $20 per child and parents may also order a t-shirt as well.

In February duels will begin every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the Dexter High School and will go until the second Saturday in March.  

Practices will begin soon.  These youngsters will wrestle with athletes from other towns in their weight class.  Some towns that have chosen to participate are Kennett, New Madrid County Central, Sikeston, and Notre Dame.

Wrestlers will be educated in the basic skills necessary to succeed in the sport of wrestling through a safe and structured practice schedule.

Coaches will encourage the athletes to reach their highest potential through hard work on the mat and in school while keeping a positive attitude and having good sportsmanship.

His most memorable moment is ​beating Ste. Gen in 3 overtimes.
