
Dexter, MO - Dexter Future Business Leaders of America sponsored a drive to collect Macaroni and Cheese for the Stoddard County Gospel Mission Food Bank. From November 8 to November 19, Dexter High School faculty, staff and students participated in this food drive and donated 2,355 boxes.
These were loaded on the Gospel Mission van on Monday, November 22nd and will be distributed at the Stoddard County Gospel Mission.
The winning advisory Classes were Huffman, Griffin, A.Simmons and Pfeffer. They will be treated to a pizza party.

Dexter, MO - The Dexter R-XI School Board of Education will accept declaration of candidacy from any person interested in running for 2 open positions (3 year terms per person), for school board membership in the April 5th, 2022 elections. Persons interested may obtain forms and file for candidacy in person at the superintendent’s office located at: 1031 Brown Pilot Lane. The qualifications for school board candidacy includes:
1.. Citizen of the United States
2. A resident tax payer of the district with no delinquent taxes
3. Have resided in Missouri for a minimum of one (1) year preceding the election
4. Twenty four years of age
5. Have not been found guilty or pled guilty to a felony
6. Not registered or required to be registered as a sex offender
Filing will begin on December 7th, 2021 at 8 a.m., and will will continue until 4 p.m. Filing will not occur on days the school district’s office are closed for holidays or inclement weather, see dates below. Filing will end on December 28th, 2021 at 5 p.m.

Dexter, MO - The Agenda for the Dexter School Board regular board meeting has been announced. the Meeting will be on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 6 p.m.

Dexter, MO - Ten students from the Dexter High School band made All-District Concert Band and All-District Jazz Band.
"We are extremely proud of these students," commented new head band director at DHS, Giovanni Walker.
Student who made the All-District Bands can not audition for the All-State Band.
The All-State Band Auditions will take place on December 4th at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri.
The All-District Concert Band will perform Saturday, November 20th at Cape Central High School at 7pm.
The All-District Jazz Band will perform February 12th, 2022 at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
