2020 DHS Senior Night Featuring Madilyn Hampton

Dexter, MO - Dexter High School celebrated winter sports Senior Night on Thursday, February 27, 2020 prior to the start of the boys varsity basketball game against the Cape Central Tigers.

Madilyn Hampton is the daughter of Tom and Jennifer Hampton.

Madilyn is a member of the Bearcat Cheerleading team. She is a 3 year letterman.

After high school, Madilyn plans to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia and major in Health Science.

As a member of the Cheer Squad, her most memorable moment at DHS is winning the Stoddard County Cheerleading Award for the 7th year in a row.

Colby Christian is the daughter of Terry and Debbie Christian.

Colby is a member of the Bearcat Cheer team.

She is a three year letterman.

After high school, Colby plans to attend Murray State University.

Her most memorable moment at DHS is being a part of the 5th, 6th, and 7th County Cheerleaders titles.

Delaney Lemmon is the daughter of Shannon and JJ Lemmon.

Delaney is a member of the Kickin' Cats Dance team.

Her future plans are to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau.   

As a member of the Dance Team, her most memorable moment at DHS is being crowned Miss DHS her senior year.

Alexa Werneck is the daughter of Chad and Amber Werneck.

Alexa is a member of the Lady Bearcat Girls Basketball team. She is a two year letterman.

After high school, Alexa plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau and major in Occupational therapy.

Her most memorable moment at DHS is beating Oran, who is state ranked, this year and all the concerts my team and I had on the bus and in the locker rooms!

Dexter, MO - The Dexter School Board held their regular board meeting on February 18, 2020.  Below are the minutes from that meeting. 

Call to Order/Roll Call/Pledge  The Board President announced the meeting is to begin, ascertains the attendance status of all board members present.  He then leads in the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Consent Agenda:  The Consent Agenda was approved.

Public Comments:  There were no public comments made.    

Old Business:  

None

New Business: 

A. The board approved the bid for CPC Cleaning to provide custodial service for the district for the next three years.

B. The board approved MCE policy updates 1210, 2640,4871 and Regulation 4871.

C. The board approved budget amendments for the 2019-20 school year.

D. The board approved MSHSAA summer dead period for August 1st thru August 9th.

E. The board approved change orders for the building project.

F. The board approved therapy services contract for the 2020-21 school year.

Discussion Items:

A. The nurse’s report was shared with the board.

B. The principals reports were shared with the board.

C. The superintendent gave his report to the board.

D. The next board meeting was set for March 17, 2020 at 6:00 pm
