Dexter High School - This listing of weekly activities is a service offered by the ShowMe Times, working in partnership with Dexter High School principal, Alana Dowdy, and DHS Asst. Principal Melissa Hahn for your convenience.

We hope you will mark your calendar and we encourage everyone to support our local students and their activities.  The education and growth of young people in our community is the key to everyone's future!If you would like to submit information and a picture of a student and his/her accomplishments, send it to news@showmetimes.com

First Grade Students Earn 3Rs Flag for November

Dexter, Missouri - The First Grade classroom earned the Southwest Elementary Positive Behavioral Support Reward Flag for November 2018.

School Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS) award is presented at the start of each month at Southwest Elementary.  One classroom in each grade is recognized for exhibiting the high character with regard to observing the school's 3R's.

The 3R's stand for being Respectful, Ready to Learn and Responsible.  The class with the highest attendance average, combined with the fewest disciplinary measures and general good character are awarded a 3R red flag to be posted in their classroom for the next month.  The students are also awarded "Cat in the Hat" capes to wear and parade around the gym before returning to class.  This year's theme is Dr. Seuss!

Kindergarten Students Earn 3R's Flag for November

Dexter, Missouri - The Kindergarten classroom of Mrs. Rinehart/Mrs. Clark earned the Southwest Elementary Positive Behavioral Support Reward Flag for November 2018.

Hannah Smith Named 2019 DHS Winter Homecoming Queen

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter High School held their 2019 Winter Homecoming Queen Coronation on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Bearcat Event Center.

Blair Rogers was named second alternate.  She is the daughter of Robin Northern and the late Aaron Rogers.

Chaylea Mosby was named first alternate. Chaylea is the daughter of Angela Mosby.

Hannah Smith was named Dexter High School 2019 Winter Homecoming Queen.

Hannah is the daughter of Theresa Burnett and Delmar and Linda Smith.

Crowning DHS Winter Homecoming Queen is 2018 Retiring Queen Kelby Hill

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter High School held their 2019 Winter Homecoming Queen Coronation on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Bearcat Event Center.

Kelby Hill is the daughter of Sara Davis and Cory Hill and is a senior at Dexter High School.

She is a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, Top 10%, DHS Pep Club, Yearbook Staff, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Volleyball, softball, and is the president of FCCLA.

Her future plans are to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia and major in education

Her escort tonight is Mason Keena.

He is the son of Paul and Melanie Keena.
