Homecoming Activities - SLEEPING BEAUTY (wear PJs)

Wrestling vs. Park Hills/Sullivan/St. Clair at Park Hills, bus 1:45 pm

Freshmen Boys Basketball at Twin Rivers High School at 6:00 pm, bus 4:50 pm

Girls Basketball vs. Farmington at home, 6:00 pm

Happy New Year and Welcome Back to DHS 

Report cards for 2nd quarter / 1st semester will be distributed on Friday, January 4th.

Students remember to dress like Kings & Queens tomorrow for Formal Friday as part of our Homecoming Activities.

We will have a PEP Rally on Friday.  Students will be dismissed from their 7th period class.  The band will march through the hallways at the end of 7th period then proceed to set up and play in the gym.  All students should stay in their 7th period class until dismissed by intercom.

There is a Model UN meeting on Wednesday, January 9th at 7:50 am in the library.

HOCO Decorating Committee -  (5th-7th periods on FRIDAY)

Deadline for senior picture for yearbook is Feb 1st

Dexter Students Fight Hunger in Our Community!

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter Public Schools came together to fight against hunger in our community.  This year the schools collectively donated 16,897 cans of food to the Stoddard County Gospel Mission.

The building winner this year was Central Elementary with 6,217 cans!

A special thanks to Williams Moving Company and the Dexter High Schools students who moved the can and delivered them to the Mission.

Erika Jones Makes Dean's List with 4.0 GPA

Erika Jones of Dexter, Missouri has been named to the Dean's List of Three Rivers College for the Fall 2018 semester.

She maintained a 4.0 and is the daughter of Richard and Jeannie Jones.

Students are recognized for the outstanding academic achievement and must tain a 3.5 GPA or higher and a minimum of 12 credit hours during the semester.

Three Rivers College recognizes and appreciates the time and effort required to achieve this success.

Girls Varsity Basketball in LRCC (Twin Rivers), 8:00 pm, bus 6:30 pm

Congratulations to Margo Nea for being selected to First Team All-Region for Cross Country.

The DHS Pep Club has brought a lot of energy to the last few games. GREAT JOB!  We can’t wait to hear what your themes will be for the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.  Remember…. The Bloomfield Gym fills up quick so will need to get there early.  Our BEARCATS will face Malden on December 26th at  12:30 pm.  

SCTC students will not attend trade school on Wednesday, December 19. Please report to school by 8:05. Students you will go to your advisory class in the morning.

Students should take care of any outstanding fines or fees and pay lunch balances to be eligible to attend the Winter Homecoming Dance on January 4th.

2019 DHS Winter Homecoming Candidates Announced
Dexter, Missouri - Dexter High School released the 2019 Winter Homecoming candidates.  Winter Homecoming will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019.  The boys basketball team will host the Woodland Cardinals.  Game time is 6 p.m. beginning with the junior varsity.  

The Homecoming Coronation will be held just before the start of the varsity game.  Come early and get a seat!  The Kickin' Cats Dance Team will perform at half-time of the varsity game and the DHS Jazz Cats will be on hand to play a few tunes throughout the evening!

The Lady Cats Basketball team chose Chaylea Mosby and Keirstan Keirsey as their candidates.

The Wrestling team chose Rylee Boyer and Erica Parris.

The Boys Basketball team chose Abby Dorton and Blair Rogers.

The Kickin' Cats Dance Team chose Olivia Lacy and Hannah Smith.

The DHS Cheerleading Squad chose Rae-Ann Riddle and Hallie Keathley.
