Victoria Irish Earns Positive Office Referral

Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honors Victoria Irish with the Positive Office Referral certificate.

This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN at Southwest Elementary in Dexter.

Victoria is in the 1st grade and was referred by Mrs. Twaddell.

"She already knows her new vocabulary words for this week," commented Twaddell.  "Her and her papa studied over the weekend."

Southwest Positive Office Referrals

Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honors Sidney Booker and Kira Grimes with the Positive Office Referral certificate.

This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN at Southwest Elementary in Dexter.

Sidney Booker is in the first grade.  She was referred by Mrs. Earnheart. "Sidney has the best manners," commented Earnheart. "She is always ready for class and follows directions the first time they are given which is awesome!"

Kira Grimes is in the 2nd grade.  She was referred by Mrs. Leonard.  "Kira always pays attention," commented Leonard.  "She follows directions and is respectful to everyone."

Congratulations Sidney and Kira!

Risen Church to Host FCA Breakfast
Dexter, Missouri - Risen Church will host the Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast.  Athletes should be ready to eat at 7:20 a.m. and will have plenty of time to get to school on time.

This is a great opportunity for all athletes to get involved.

Risen Church is located at 15 E. St. Francis Street behind Joe Craig Studio in downtown Dexter.

To present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

2016 Homecoming Queen Candidates

Dexter, Missouri - On Friday, September 30th the Homecoming Queen and her court will be named prior to the Dexter home football game against the Kennett Indians. 

The Homecoming Queen will be announced at 6:20 p.m.  Kick-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.

The Lady Cats Tennis Team nominated Reagan Miller and Lexi May.

The Football Team nominated Jackie Kiger and Margo Nea.

The Football Cheer Squad nominated Michaela Gard and Chelsea Mullins.

The Cross Country Team nominated Shelby Smith and Jonni Hill.

The Lady Cats Volleyball Team nominated Krysten Garrison and Janie Lindsey.

Hits for Hope Volleyball Night a Success

Dexter, Missouri - The annual Hits for Hope volleyball game was quite the success this year!  More than $4579 was raised by the Lady Cats volleyball team and their band of volunteers!

The Lady ‘Cats also came out on top defeating the Puxico Lady Indians 25-9, 25-10 on Monday, September 26, 2016.

Players, spectators, coaches and even the referees wore pink to support the Hits for Hope fundraiser.

The generous contributions were donated to 18FORE Life.

"Isn't is just great!" commented Scott Kruse, co-founder of 18FORE Life with a big smile! "Amazing, truly amazing!"
