Duck Creek Baptist WINGS Makes Donation to Mother-to-Mother Program

Dexter, Missouri - The Duck Creek Baptist WINGS group (Women in God's Service) made a donation to the Mother-to-Mother Program.

"Their generosity will help keep our food pantry and Baby Boutique well stocked," commented Teresa Overall, Mother-to-Mother Program Directors.  "Their generosity is greatly appreciated.

Mother-to-Mother (M2M) is a four-phase, incentive-based mentoring program that supports pregnant or parenting young women in Stoddard County. The program offers incentives for mothers to earn baby supplies, equipment, and clothing; introduces participants to additional services in the community; offers encouragement and advice while participants continue their education and obtain employment; and offers regularly scheduled activities that promote participants’ parenting and social skills.

Bloomfield Heritage Days was Fun and Festive

Bloomfield, Missouri - Despite early rain Thursday and Friday, the Bloomfield Heritage Days sponsored by the Bloomfield Chamber and Bloomfield Lion's Club continued on over the weekend.  Saturday began on the chilly side, but by afternoon the temperatures warmed up and the people came out in support of a small community endeavor. The festival was fun, entertaining and educational.

Jimmy's Kettle Corn and the Joyful Noise Brats/Hotdog stands were the bomb!  Each child that participated in the annual Easter Egg Hunt received free kettle corn and a soda.  The Easter Bunny made his rounds for photos and passed out some very nice prizes to the youngsters.

Joyful Noise also played their beautiful country and gospel music throughout the day.

K9 Bix and Ozark Federal Credit Union sponsored a Dog Show to raise money for the Dexter Dog Park. Several dogs participated.

Margo the Goldie won First Place in tricks and was the Zoey's Choice for personality.

Photos and videos can be seen in albums on the ShowMe Times Facebook page!
