Sikeston, Missouri – Dexter High School art students excelled at this year’s Sikeston Depot’s 40th Annual Art Show.
Hayli Petty earned Second Place in the category of Wildlife.
Honey Patel received 2nd place in Abstract Art.
Katie Coleman received First Place in Wildlife and Second Place in the category of Fibers/Collage Art.
Harley Allen earned First Place in Still-Life Art.
Janie Lindsey received Third Place in Landscape and Honorable Mention in Abstract Art.
MaKayla Waldner received First Place in Fibers/Collage Art.
Reagan Miller took Second Place honors in the Portrait Art Division.

Poplar Bluff, Missouri – The 15th Annual Juried Regional High School Art Exhibit was held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Twenty-one area high schools participated in the annual event.
Honey Patel of Dexter High School received Best of Show for her artwork entitled Out of the Shadows.
Josh Ladd took first and second place honors in the category of Painting.
MaKayla Waldner placed second in the Mixed Media category.
Katie Coleman took first place in the Drawing category.

The Boutique, owned and operated by Sherry Disney and her daughter, Deana Stevens, opened for business this week.
The shop boutique features both women and children's clothing, jewelry and vendor booths with home decor, antiques, jewelry, furniture, western themed items, and a variety of other items.
The building, formerly “Weekenders,” has undergone a remodel transformation by Mike Cox and Craig Disney with Precision Tile and Remodeling.
On the first Fridays and Saturdays from May through September, Market Days will take place at the boutique which will include outdoor vendors on the property.
Betty Lou Boutique will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. The boutique’s phone is 624-3888.

Dexter, Missouri – When was the last time you were able to donate $20 to your school without it coming out of your own pocket?
Robert Shell and Bud Shell Ford sales representatives will be on hand to help T.S. Hill Middle School JR Beta Club raise money through their annual Drive 4UR School event on Saturday, April 11th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This event will be held at the middle school in Dexter and every test drive earns $20 for their school. They have set a goal of $6,000 and want to max that out!
Bring your family (18 years and older) and your neighbors to help the JR Beta Club earn money for their national convention trip to Nashville.
And don't forget the Diaper Derby and Toddler Trot slated for 10:00 a.m. at the middle school. What a fun day of raising money for a good cause and get to drive a brand new Ford vehicle!!
Several cars, trucks and even a pedal tractor were on hand for the public to view. Vehicles from as far away as Piggott, Arkansas traveled to enjoy the spring festival.

Best Use of Color goes to Angela Collins for her 1967 Ford LTD.
Best Work in Progress goes to James Maguires’ 1966 Ford F-100.
Most Unusual Paint is won by Lee Fulkerson’s 1995 Chevy S-10.
Commander’s Choice James Maguires’ 1966 Ford F-100.
People’s Choice Archey Maloney’s 1953 Victoria.
Longest Drive went to Piggott Heritage Cruisers.
