George C. Foster of Puxico, Missouri, son of the late Isaac and Suzie Foster was born on December 24, 1936, in LaForge, Missouri, and passed from this life on May 16, 2023, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 86.
He lived in Southeast Missouri all of his life. George was a member of the Puxico VFW, The DAV and the AAM. George bought and sold anything he could get his hands on cars, trucks, equipment, flea market items, If it was legal to sell he could sell it. George truly enjoyed working but most of all spending time with his family, friends and spoiling his grandchildren.
He married Mona Rhea Crews in Sikeston, Missouri, on June 11, 1960. He was of the Baptist faith.
George is survived by his wife of the home; one son, George Andrew (Amanda) Foster of Puxico; one son-in-law, Carl Junior Conner of Puxico; two daughters, Belinda Kay (Victor) Delay of Acorn Ridge, Missouri; Michelle Lee (James) Layman of Bluffton, South Carolina; twelve grandchildren; Josh (Kasie) Delay, Samantha (Derek) Ford, Ben Conner, Brittany (Drew) Chasteen, Camille Carter, Quinn Carter, Keaton Carter, Nolan, Chloey, Kinsley, Maxx and Lincoln Foster; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Katherine Ruble of Kansas City, Missouri; a close personal friend, George Sifford; as well a host of family and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lana Sue Conner; two brothers, Harlan , Junior Foster; and three sisters, Mary Woolly, Joann Foster, and Charlene Griffen.
