In Memory of Lonnie Stoker

Lonnie Stoker, son of the late Lester Stoker and Mildred Hudgens Stoker, was born on September 14, 1946 in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on July 12, 2020 at Southeast Health of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 73 years. 

Mr. Stoker was a former elevator operator for MFA in Bernie, retiring after 55 years of service, and he was a resident of Dexter, Missouri. 

He was united in marriage to June Launius on July 29, 1971 in Dexter, Missouri.  Mrs. Stoker survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Wade Stoker of Dexter and Dean Stoker of Long Beach, California; by his brother, Robert Stoker of Dexter; by his three sisters, Rachel Weaver of Dexter, Margie Rickman of Dexter, and Kay Marsh of Prescott, Arizona; and by two grandchildren, Daisy Stoker and Ely Stoker.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jim Stoker, Gene Stoker, Leon Stoker, and Gary Stoker; and by four sisters, Marie Edward, Pat Moore, Linda Stoker and Janice McCollum.    

Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. 

Interment will follow in the Mt. Gilead Hill Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
