Charles W. Ward, son of the late Carnelia Ward, was born on August 5, 1942 in Pyletown, Missouri and departed this life on August 11, 2015 at Kindred-St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 73.
Mr. Ward had worked as a plant manager for Ready Mix Concrete Company; he was a resident of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
On May 26, 1967, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Elaine Swinger in Dexter. Mrs. Ward preceded him in death on April 22, 1993.
He is survived by one son, Troy Ward and his wife Suzan of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by one daughter, Tammy Hefner and her husband Shawn of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by two sisters, Carolyn Young and Joan Perry, both of Dexter, Missouri; and by three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ward, Sarah Ward and Madelyn Hefner.
In addition to his wife and mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Ward.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 10:30 A.M.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.

Georgia L. Dement, daughter of the late George Deroush was born on April 20, 1934 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on August 11, 2015 at her residence in Dexter at the age of 81.
Mrs. Dement attended the Lighthouse Christian Center and had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Dexter Memorial Hospital.
On December 13, 1952, she was united in marriage to Oscar Lee Dement in Paragould, Arkansas. Mr. Dement preceded her in death on June 6, 2014.
She is survived by five sons, David Dement and his wife Jane of Bartlett, Tennessee, Mike Dement and his wife Chris of Overland Park, Kansas, Tom Dement of Dexter, Missouri, Bob Dement and his wife Leona of Dexter, Missouri and James Dement of Bloomfield, Missouri; by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Mainard and Betty Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Tim Russell and Pastor Dale Hartle officiating.Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
She had lived in Bloomfield since 1954. She was a member of the Link Church near Bloomfield. She loved to cook, sing, going to yard sales and collecting angels.
On January 20, 1954 she was married to Bob Holdford in Mesa, Arizona.
Surviving are her husband, Bob Holford of Bloomfield; two sons and wife, Alan & Ellen Holford of Cape Girardeau, Stephen Holford of Bloomfield; two daughters and husband, Peggy Schroer & Wim Ruyten of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Linda & Dallas McRoy of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one great grandson, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. of officiating.
Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

He had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Risco and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
In September of 2000 he was married to Janice Elaine Hester in Poplar Bluff.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Midgett of Dexter; one son, Dustin Midgett of Ashland, Missouri; one daughter and husband, Kacey & Adam Shelton of Ashland, Missouri; two grandchildren; one brother, Terry Midgett of Risco, Missouri; four sisters, Zerlene Stafford and Darlene Rowland both of Dexter, Missouri, Linda Bradley of Kennett, Missouri and Sheila Haertling of Jackson, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Faye Midgett, and three brothers, Doyle Wayne, Ricky Gene and Ronnie Gene Midgett.
