Bernie, Missouri – Is your child going into Kindergarten in the fall? If so, you must make an appointment for enrollment and screening for March 26th.
Students who do not come to this event on March 26th may not be able to begin Kindergarten on the first day of school.
They will have to wait until after first day of school (in August) to reschedule a screening time in order to enroll in kindergarten. (Which may be end up being as late as the beginning if September.) That's two weeks of very important instruction missed! Please schedule those appointments!
Children must be five years of age before August 1, 2015 to be eligible to attend the upcoming 2015-2016 school year.
A Social Security number must be available when making the appointment. The following mandatory documentation must be provided at the time of screening: Birth certificate, shot record (does not have to be up-to-date), and proof of residency. The proof of residency must be a financial obligation to the address for example, water bill, cable bill, tax statement, etc.
