Virgie G. Wilson

Virgie G. Wilson, daughter of the late William W. Asbell and Grace Davis Asbell, was born on December 27, 1926 in Bloomfield, Missouri and passed away on March 4, 2015 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter at the age of 88.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter.  She retired as a teacher from the Dexter Public Schools, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a resident of Dexter.

On October 5, 1945, she was united in marriage to Elmer Wilson in St. Louis, Missouri.  Mr. Wilson survives of the home.

She is also survived by one son, Lawrence E. Wilson and his wife, Marilyn Denish-Wilson, of Tebetts, Missouri; by one grandson, Christopher E. Wilson and his wife Kristi; and by one great-granddaughter, Samantha Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Lynne Wilson Wariath; by three brothers, Walter W. Asbell, Louis Asbell and Alfred Asbell; and by two sisters, Mary E. Killmer and Ruth Barker.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with Dr. Barry Winders officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
