Dr. Robert H. Boon, DDS, son of the late Alfred D. and Blanche Halstenburg Boon, was born in Franklin, Missouri on June 14, 1924, and passed away at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 2, 2011, at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 19 days.

He had attended Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated from Dental School. After graduating he moved to Dexter, Missouri where he owned and operated his Dental Practice for over sixty years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, Missouri.

On February 21, 1981, he was married to Brenda Joyce Smith in Dexter, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Boon of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Robert Eric Boon of Columbia, Missouri; one granddaughter, Ashton Boon; and one step-grandson, John Rose. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Boon, one sister, Thelma Mouser and one step-daughter, Debra Rose.

Memorial Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
