Important Message from Advance Schools
Advance, Missouri - Students entering the 8th grade are required to have the Tdap and the Meningococcal vaccination.

Students entering the 12th grade are required to have the Meningococcal vaccination.

These vaccinations are required by Missouri State Law, Section 210.003, RSMo

These vaccines are free at the Stoddard County Public Health Center in Bloomfield. They request that you please call ahead. Their telephone number is 1-800-303-4593. They ask that you bring your shot record with you when you get your vaccinations updated.

You must bring or send proof of these vaccinations on or before the first day of the 19-20 school year.

Brock Simmons Academic Signing with Evangel University
Dexter, Missouri - Academic signings were held at the Bearcat Event Center for seniors who are 2019 graduates of Dexter High School. Students and their parents were invited to a luncheon as well.

Brock Simmons is the son of Westley and Amy Simmons.

He will attend Evangel University in the fall.

Brock earned the Founders Scholarship totalling $13,000.

Hif future plans are to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology and enter the medical field.

Andreus Garrett Academic Signing with Curry College - Milton Mass

Dexter, Missouri - Academic signings were held at the Bearcat Event Center for seniors who are 2019 graduates of Dexter High School. Students and their parents were invited to a luncheon as well.

Andreus Garrett will attend Curry College  Milton, Massachusetts in the fall.

He is the son of Tammy and Paul Johnson.

Andreus was awarded the Curry College Excellence in Education Scholarship and the Curry College Resident Award totalling $70,000.

His future plans are to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a degree in Culinary Arts.

2019 Missouri Good Sports
A female and male student-athlete from both Junior and Senior High has been nominated by the Poplar Bluff coaching staff to receive the annual Missouri Good Sports honor through MSHSAA.
 
This year’s multi-sport athletes included Wyatt Lazalier of the PBHS Class of 2019, who played football and wrestled; incoming junior Sierra Sievers, who plays basketball, soccer and volleyball; incoming freshman River Rowland, who has competed in track and volleyball; and Jeridon Young, who was selected for being a basketball and football standout.
 
The Award of Excellence is issued to students through the Missouri State High School Activities Association for an exemplary display of sportsmanship, behavior and positive role modeling through participation in interscholastic activities.

Three Rivers College has released its Dean’s List for the Spring 2019 semester. The honor is awarded to students taking 12 or more credit hours in a semester, who achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Dean’s List honors are also used at graduation to help determine eligibility for honors or highest honors.
