In Loving Memory of Wanda Lee Calvert

Wanda Lee Calvert, daughter of the late William Wallace and Bessie Williams Wallace was born on March 21, 1934 in New Port, Arkansas and departed this life on December 11, 2016 at her residence in Qulin, Missouri at the age of 82.

Mrs. Calvert was a supervisor at US Poly in Dexter and on December 19, 1950 she was united in marriage to Floyd Calvert who preceded her in death on October 13, 1995.

She is survived by one son, Larry Calvert of Malden; by one daughter Sandra Potter and husband Glen of Qulin; by four sisters, Nadine Orr of Indiana, Beatrice Sigers of Jackson, Michigan, Loudean Starnes of Dexter, and Amanda Kellick of Dexter; by two grandchildren, Ashley Dewayne Calvert and Sarah Beth Patterson; and by 6 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. 

Services will be conducted at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Elijah Allen and Jerry Cooper officiating. 

Interment will be at the Malden Cemetery.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all the arrangements.

In Loving Memory of Thomas Colyer

Thomas L. Colyer, son of the late Ben H. Colyer and Vernie Monroe Colyer was born May 22, 1934 in Bloomfield, Missouri and departed this life on December 12, 2016 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 82.

Mr. Colyer was a member of the Seymour Baptist Church and served in the Air Force for 22 years serving in the Korean War and Vietnam war. On December 22, 1954, he was united in marriage to Barbara Fuller in Bloomfield.  Mrs. Colyer resides at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

He is survived by his wife; by three daughters, Gayla McCallister of Dexter, Sarah Judith (Judy) Crawford, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Danica Gray of Monticello, Arkansas; by one sister, Lois Watson of Barnhart, Missouri; by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ben Colyer and one sister, Evadean Troxell.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. 

Services will be conducted on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jay Adrain officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 or Memorial of your choice.

In Loving Memory of Karen Lynn Jarrell

Karen Lynn Jarrell was born in Flint, Michigan on August 10, 1956, and passed away in an Oklahoma City hospital on December 5, 2016, at the age of 60 years.

She had grown up in Michigan. She had lived in Lawton, Oklahoma for many years and had worked for Dr. Parikh, the Heart and Vascular Center and with Comanche County Memorial Hospital.

Karen was president of the Sweet Adeline's in Lawton and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

On November 5, 1985, she was married to Richard Boyd Jarrell in Essex, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Jarrell of Lawton, Oklahoma; three brothers, Darryl Letts, Matt Letts and Nelson Letts, Jr.; a special cousin, Nelson Hahn of Moore, Oklahoma; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitations will be held Friday, December 9, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, interment will follow with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Baby Ariana C. Hernandez, daughter of Ernesto Hernandez and Kandin Hicks of Dexter, Missouri was born and passed away on December 3, 2016 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Besides her parents, she is survived by four sisters, Aundrea Hernandez, Victoria Hernandez, Reyna Hernandez and Thalia Hernandez of Dexter.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. T.J. Woodard officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery.

In Loving Memory of Jimmie Wayne Anthony Sr.

Jimmie Wayne Anthony Sr, son of the late Rex Leon Anthony and Myrtle Grace Crain Anthony was born in Dexter, Missouri on September 23, 1943 and departed this life at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on December 4, 2016 at the age of 73.

Mr. Anthony had worked for Bush & Latta Painting in St. Louis, Missouri for over 25 years, he was a driver for Eubank Trucking out of Dexter, Missouri along with his brother Sonny; in his later years, he raised alfalfa for his beloved horses.

He was united in marriage to Inis Jone Hathaway in Bernie, Missouri on June 23, 1962. She survives in their home in Dexter.

Other survivors include two sons, Jimmie Wayne Anthony Jr. & wife Kim and Brian Scott Anthony, all of Dexter, Missouri; by one daughter, Stacey Jean Anthony Ward & husband Brian of Dexter, Missouri; by one brother, Donald Ray Anthony & wife Judy of Dexter, Missouri; by one sister, Ruth Burner & husband Tom of Bernie, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Chris Anthony, Brandi Anthony, Danielle Jarrett, Westley Carter, Brittany Ward, Josh Anthony and Connor Anthony; by two great-grandchildren, Selena Anthony and Zoe Anthony; also by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by two brothers, Rex “Sonny” Anthony and Harold Gene Anthony in infancy.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.

Pastor Dale Hartle officiating. Interment will be in Gregory-Landcastor Cemetery, Rural Dexter, Missouri.
