Debra Carol Smith of Dexter, daughter of the late Carroll David Noland & Helen Bernice Crest Noland Payton, was born November 26, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee on June 14, 2017, at the age of 60 years, 6 months and 19 days.
She had lived in the St. Louis area before moving to Southeast Missouri in 1971. She had attended the Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter. She graduated from Bloomfield High School and received her Masters Degree from Southeast Missouri State University. Debra worked for the Missouri Department of Mental Health as a case manager with the Poplar Bluff Regional Center. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her step father, "Pop" Bobby Payton of Dexter; two daughters & spouses, Kristin & Gary Jackson of Kennett, Angela Hartline of Dexter; one son, Kyle Smith of Dexter; five grandchildren, Cameron Jackson, Madison Mullins, Abigail Jackson, Peyton Hartline, and Noah Hartline. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Diana Gail Elsworth.
Friends may call on Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Herman Morse of Dexter officiating.
Interment will follow at the Harper Cemetery near Aid, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Truman Sanford Cato passed away on Sunday morning June 11, 2017, at Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 96.
He was born June 25, 1920, to Louis Wesley (Bud) Cato and Valley May (Hughes) Cato at Greenbrier, Missouri. He and Roma Lee Delay were married on March 1, 1946, at Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2002, after 56 years of marriage.
He was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church where he and Roma Lee served the Lord and his church family. He taught his family to love Christ and love others both in his words and more importantly the way he lived his life.
He proudly served his country in World War II, from October 1941 to December 1945, serving in the European Theater. Truman entered combat on Omaha Beach in Normandy on June 16, 1944, (“D +10”) and earned Bronze Service Stars and a Purple Heart for his service to his county. He received a battlefield commission from General George S. Patton on June 9, 1945.
Truman began working with the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in 1954 and served as the Bollinger County Executive Director of the ASCS until his retirement in 1983. He was also a part time farmer and served a number of terms on the Zalma School Board. He was instrumental in the formation of Cross Trails Medical Center where he served on the board of directors since its inception in 1995.
Survivors include his daughter Debra Cato Dove and husband Gene of Highlandville, Missouri; his son Edwin T. (Eddie) Cato and wife Jeannie of Dexter; four grandchildren Jaime Bernhardt and husband Mark of Republic, Missouri; Chase Ridings and wife Chelsea of Nixa, Missouri; Bailey Cato Czupryk and husband Josh of Memphis, Tennessee; Andrew Cato and Elyce Cagle of Columbia, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Faith Romalee Bernhardt and Grayson Tadeusz Czupryk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers, Dale W. Cato and Ale C. Cato.
Friends may call on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 10:00 AM at the Morgan Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Roth and Bro. Ray Placher officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel General Baptist Church, Advance, Missouri.
Shirley Jean Fowler, daughter of the late Julius Parker and Mary Cathleen Adams Parker was born on September 6, 1936 in Four Oaks, North Carolina and passed away at the Mulberry Manor in Dexter on June 11, 2017 at the age of 80.
Mrs. Fowler was a member of New Bethel General Baptist Church, a home-maker and a resident of Dexter.
On January 25, 1955, she was united in marriage to Bobby G. Fowler in Smithfield, North Carolina. Mr. Fowler survives of the home in Dexter.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Hutchcraft and husband Tim of Dexter and Jilda Everhart and husband William of Greensboro, North Carolina; by one sister, Jilda Brown of Titusville, Florida; by two grandchildren, Chris Hutchcraft and wife Stacey and Michael Gillie and by three great-grandchildren, Hayden Hutchcraft, Grady Hutchcraft and Kayla Hutchcraft.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 11:00 A. M. until 1:00 P. M.
A Memorial service will then be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 P. M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Jamie Jones officiating.

Randy Nelson Hoggard of Campbell, the son of the late Nelson "Dude" Junior Hoggard and Mamie Elizabeith Higdon Bounds of Cottage Hills, IL. Born in Normandy, Missouri on July 16, 1967 and passed away at home in Campbell, Missouri on June 10, 2017 at the age of 49 years and 11 months.
On July 21, 1995 he was married to Lora Beth Gosnell.
He is survived by his wife Lora Beth Hoggard of Campbell, Missouri, two daughters: Contessa Mead and husband Eric of Hillsboro Mo, and Lindsey Hendricks of Campbell, Mo; one son Patrick Stallings of Dexter, Mo; one sister Teresa Hoggard Hartline and husband Scott of Dexter, Mo. ; three grandchildren: Rilynn and Adilynn Mead and Noah Stallings; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Hoggard was raised in Hillsboro, Mo and had made his home in Campbell. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a truck driver and mechanic.
Everyone who knew Randy, knew he loved to visit with his family and friends, so instead of a traditional service, we will celebrate his life on Saturday, June 24,2017 at 1:00 PM at 11577 State Hwy DD in Campbell, Mo.
