Dexter, Missouri - Congressman Jason Smith will be at Dexter High School on Friday, April 21st to recognize senior Reagan Miller’s appointment to the United States Naval Academy.
The Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers in the U.S. Navy. While attending the academy, midshipmen are on active duty in the U.S. Navy. Upon graduation, they are commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy or Second Lieutenants in the Marine Corps.
“Reagan has the desire to serve and to be part of something bigger than herself,” said Congressman Smith. “Because of that spirit, I know Reagan is going to be an excellent midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy. It was my honor to nominate her. Reagan will serve our country well and make Missouri proud.”
After completing the presentation, Congressman Smith will be available for questions from members of the press. If you are interested in attending, please email maggie.starks@mail.house.gov.
