Nancy Carol Wade, daughter of the late Roy Gardner and Madeline Meyers Smith of Dexter was born on November 24, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on February 17, 2017 at her residence in Dexter at the age of 66.

Mrs. Wade was a Department Manager for Wal-Mart. She was a resident of Dexter.

On July 17, 1989 she was united in marriage to John T. Wade in Dexter.  Mr. Wade survives of their residence in Dexter.

Besides her husband and mother she is survived by one son, Brian Barnes of Jackson, Missouri; by two daughters, Melanie Geiger of Bell City and Carmen Maddox of Hawaii; by two step-sons, John M. Wade of Galesburg, Illinois and Jason T. Wade of Mount Vernon, Illinois; by one sister, Violet Higgs of Dexter; by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, whom she was raised by, Steve Smith.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. 

A grave-side service will be conducted immediately following visitation at the Caroline Dowdy Cemetery with Herman Morse officiating. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to the Stoddard County Children’s Home or a Shriners Hospital of the donors choice.
