Larry Dale Barnes, Sr. was born on April 25, 1940 in Peach Orchard, Missouri to the late Carl Rufus Barnes & Eula Lidell Bailey Barnes. He departed this life on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 76 years 9 months and 22 days.

Larry Dale Barnes, Sr. has been employed at the Federal Mogul factory in Malden. He was retired out of the Red Cross Blood Services. Larry attended the Calvary Baptist Church and had served over 18 years in the National Guard. He was united in marriage to Lois DeMay on October 7, 1962 in Campbell, Missouri. She survives.

His other survivors include: Son: Larry Dale Barnes, Jr. of Wappapello. Daughter: Melissa Lynn Morgan & husband, Kerry Don of Malden. Three Grandsons: Matthew Cade Barnes & wife, Jodi of Lilbourn, W. C. Morgan & wife, Rebecca of Bloomfield and Chris Bowen of Piggott, Arkansas. Five great-granddaughters and five great-grandsons. Three brothers: Ronnie Barnes & wife, Beverly of Clarkton, James Roland Barnes & wife, Brenda of Clarkton & Billy Lynn Barnes & wife, Judy of Holcomb. Sister: Sue Dye & husband, J. H. of Kennett. Several nieces & nephews & several great-nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Sonny Barnes & Bud Barnes

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with Reverend James Hamlett officiating.

Interment will be at Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
