Jean Green, daughter of the late William Stephenson and Laura Stephenson Erwin was born on May 22, 1939 in Wardell, Missouri and departed this life on May 22, 2016 at her residence in Dexter at the age of 77.

Mrs. Green was a book keeper and business owner in Dexter. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4062 where she served as their former secretary, a member of the Fraternal Order of Elks #2439 and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the V.F. W. in Maryland.

On August 10, 1966 she was united in marriage to Donald R. Green in St. Louis, Mr. Green preceded her in death on December 3, 2010.

Mrs. Green is survived by one son, Scott Green of Dexter; by two daughters, Sarena Hutson and husband Jim of St. Charles, Missouri and Tina Akins of Dexter; by one brother, Larry Stephenson of Connersville, Indiana; by one sister, Barbara Rava of North Port, Florida; by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Joy Karnes.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
