Mrs. Grubbs was a dedicated homemaker for her family. She enjoyed working in her yard and every year made sure she had an array of some of the most beautiful flowers in the neighborhood. You would find her working with her flowers even though many times you would have thought her physically unable. She was also a great prayer warrior for her children and their families. Her prayers will be greatly missed. She was a very loved mother and wife and her absence will leave a great void in the hearts of her family. We lost a rose among mothers, but Heaven gained a new angel.
On December 20, 1944 she was united in marriage to Johnny Gilbert Grubbs in Piggott, Arkansas. Mr. Grubbs preceded her in death on February 29, 2008.
Survivors include five sons, Farrell Grubbs of Puxico, Darrell Grubbs of Sikeston, Gary Grubbs of Campbell, Keith Grubbs of Dexter and Randy Grubbs of Dexter; by three daughters, Kathleen Dover, Linda Campbell and Carol Hutchcraft all of Dexter; by one brother, Gene Edge of Evansville, Indiana; by one sister, Pauline Moser of Lilbourn, Missouri; by twenty grandchildren; by thirty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Lester Grubbs; by one brother, Bill Edge and by one sister in infancy.
