Mildred F. Grubbs
Mildred F. Grubbs, daughter of the late Claude Edge and Lulu Hamm Edge was born on September 17, 1926 in Guntown, Mississippi and died on December 23, 2012 at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter at the age of 86.

Mrs. Grubbs was a dedicated homemaker for her family.  She enjoyed working in her yard and every year made sure she had an array of some of the most beautiful flowers in the neighborhood.  You would find her working with her flowers even though many times you would have thought her physically unable.  She was also a great prayer warrior for her children and their families.  Her prayers will be greatly missed.  She was a very loved mother and wife and her absence will leave a great void in the hearts of her family.  We lost a rose among mothers, but Heaven gained a new angel.

On December 20, 1944 she was united in marriage to Johnny Gilbert Grubbs in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mr. Grubbs preceded her in death on February 29, 2008.

Survivors include five sons, Farrell Grubbs of Puxico, Darrell Grubbs of Sikeston, Gary Grubbs of Campbell, Keith Grubbs of Dexter and Randy Grubbs of Dexter; by three daughters, Kathleen Dover, Linda Campbell and Carol Hutchcraft all of Dexter; by one brother, Gene Edge of Evansville, Indiana; by one sister, Pauline Moser of Lilbourn, Missouri; by twenty grandchildren; by thirty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Lester Grubbs; by one brother, Bill Edge and by one sister in infancy.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 5:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Ray Rowland officiating.  Interment will follow in the Dexter cemetery.
