Dexter, Missouri – Hope International of Bernie would like you to join them Saturday, July 27^th from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Wal-Mart parking lot to STUFF A TRUCK full of back to school supplies.

Each year Hope International hosts Back to School Bashes at Bernie, Dexter and Bloomfield schools.  Students and parents are encouraged to attend.  You must pre-register between July 1^st and July 27^th, Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  To register your child to receive a backpack of school supplies or for more information, please call their office at 573-293-HOPE. 

The Back to School Bash is a fair like event for children.  They can have fun and leave with everything they need to start school.  There are many other things to offer the children and parents to help ease the stress of starting a new school year.  There will be FREE haircuts, FREE dental screenings, FREE vision screenings, FREE HOPE clothing vouchers, and much much more.

The Bernie Back to School Bash will be held on August 2^nd from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., but you must Register.

The Dexter Back to School Bash will be held on August 6^th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., but you must Register.

The Bloomfield Back to School Bash will be held on August 8^th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., but you must Register.

The following items are needed for students preparing for Kindergarten at Dexter: 

·       2 Boxes of 24 Crayons

·       Plastic school box

·       Fiskars Scissors w/blunt end

·       2 Large boxes of tissues (Kleenex)

·       4 Glue sticks (any size)

·       1  Package of wet wipes

·       1 KinderMat (Blue or Red)

·       2 White blue bottles (medium with orange lid)

·       1 Backpack

·       1 Block pink eraser

·       1 Container of Germ-X

 The following items are needed for students entering Grade  1 at Dexter:

·       #2 Lead pencils

·       2 Large dry erase markers (black)

·       Pencil top erasers

·       Pencil pouch soft

·       2 Large boxes of Kleenex

·       Girls bring 1 box gallon sized Ziploc bags

·       Boys bring 1 box quart sized Ziplock bags

·       1 Box of 24 colors

·       1 backpack

·       Fiskars Sharp point scissors

·       1 Glue stick

·       1 Package of wet wipes

The following items are needed for students entering Grade 2 at Dexter:

* Plastic pencil box or large pencil pouch

* 2 Boxes of 24 Crayons

* 1 Ruler with inches and centimeters

* 2 Large box of Kleenex

* 1 Backpack

* Fiskars Sharp point scissors

* 24 #2 Wood pencils

* 1 Large bleach free wipes

* Glue (4 oz liquid)

* Pink block eraser

* 2 Dry erase markers (black)

* Glue stick

* 2 Highlighters

* Girls bring 1 box quart size Ziplock bags

* Boys bring 1 box large size Ziplock bags
